Flights

American Airlines is one of the major airlines in North and South America. They also offer affordable flights, and the flight staff are very friendly and happy to help.  

You will be flying into Washington DC with American Airlines, flight number 312, on the 31st of June. You’ll leave from Gatwick International Airport and land at Washington International Airport at 10 am. The flight is 17 hours long. That means you need to arrive at Gatwick Airport at 3.00 pm. The plane will depart at 5 pm.

The class you will be flying in is economy. It is a one way flight,  with no stop offs. Your destination is Washington International Airport.

You need to check in 2 hours prior to your flight departure. You will go through customs at both ends, and they will scan the contents of your hand luggage. The limit for hand luggage is one bag per person. Once you have been through customs, you will be in the duty free area, you can buy almost anything with no taxes!

When you have boarded the plane, you need to put phones, tablets and laptops onto airplane mode. The ETA (estimated time of arrival) is 10 am.  

Once have gotten off the plane, don’t forget to pick up your bags in the luggage area, because there might be thieves around.
